Forest Fuels Laura Banyard in Horse Race for Charity
Laura Banyard only recently joined Forest Fuels but has already impressed her work colleagues as she’s taking up the challenge of riding her horse Oscar in a race to raise funds for Julia’s House, a children’s charity based near her home in Dorset.
The charity aims to provide care and support for families caring for a child with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions – helping them in their homes, the wider community and also at the hospice.
Laura’s been riding since she was just a young girl and is asking anyone who’d be interested in offering sponsorship to go directly to her Just Giving page set up specifically for the event by clicking here.
Ben Goh, Forest Fuels regional manager said, "We're really pleased to have Laura on our customer team, we’re all supporting her in the race as it’s such a deserving charity".
Julia’s House is developing a new centre in Devizes, Wiltshire and this is where all funds raised from the race will be directed.
Laura said, “I’ve never entered anything like this before but I do try to do something worthwhile for charity each year and when I saw the race in aid of Julia’s House I knew I had to take part.”
The race is over 11 furlongs, which is not far short of one and a half miles.
Ben Goh added, “We wish Laura every success in the race and hope that everyone gets behind her with support and sponsorship money for Julia’s House”.
