Forest Fuels David Newman talks on the future of biomass heating at Smart Energy Marketplace Exeter
Forest Fuels head of sales and business development, David Newman will speak during the 11.00 session on the future of biomass heating now that the government has announced a revamp of the Renewable Heat Incentive. He will discuss tariffs, give an update on the wood fuel market and highlight the best opportunities now available.
Smart Energy Marketplace is a unique showcase of the emerging smart, decentralised energy systems of the future. Essentially, the way we power our lives is changing and this is creating huge opportunities. Smart Energy Marketplace now in its second year, is the new name for the hugely successful Renewable Energy Marketplace which featured over 80 exhibitors and attracted over 1,000 delegates. It takes place on Tuesday 28 March 2017 1000-1600.
There’s a wide spread of delegates booked in to attend the event ; including manufacturers, utilities, energy generators, landowners and farmers, construction, tourism providers, local government and community energy groups.
Topics covered within the expert talks will include energy storage, transforming housing, heat networks, engaging communities in network innovation, energy demand response-balancing the grid, as well as local energy supply for Cornwall and the south west.
David Newman said, “The changes announced recently created new opportunities for heat networks, heat pumps, biomass boilers and Anaerobic Digestion, to transform how we heat our homes and businesses”.
The session will also look at what models of renewable heat are due to prosper in the future and David will be joined by Steve Edwards, director of regulation and commercial, Wales and West Utilities and William Johnson, technical manager - heat pumps, OMNIE
